Frank McCrary (Bellevue)
Statement:
Frank McCrary Escárcega is currently serving on the NATI board of directors and is actively seeking re-election to a second term.
Bio:
Frank uses Spanish in a broad range of venues. He is a teaching elder with Latinos Unidos (a Presbyterian ministry to Omaha’s Hispanic community) and a volunteer chaplain/translator/interpreter for the Sarpy County Sheriff, Bellevue Police and Fire Departments. He is in the process of becoming a medical interpreter for the University of Nebraska Medical Center and is also working toward certification as a court translator/interpreter.
Frank is a retired Air Force officer who worked as a successful computer systems analyst before changing his career path to the church.
His first professional bilingual post was as an instructional technologist and Spanish lecturer for the Center for Biblical Leadership (CBL). With CBL, he presented theology classes in the Ukraine, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and California.
